휘트먼, 'Life and Death'

비는 내리고 어제도 오늘도 내일도 살 걱정만 가득. 

올봄부터는 휘트먼의 시를 읽기로 했는데, 이게 참 좋다.

오늘 본 건 짤막한 시구니까 잠깐 같이 보고 가자.  

Life and Death

The two old, simple problems ever intertwined, 
Close home, elusive, present, baffled, grappled. 
By each successive age insoluble, pass'd on, 
To ours to-day--and we pass on the same.
